A night of mystery in Larkin Square!

The next Larkin Square Author Series takes a puzzling turn as three talented writers in the mystery genre speak about their books, writing and the art of crafting a good thriller!

Join us on Thursday, October 15th, as part of  Third Thursday in Larkinville, from 5:30pm to 6:45pm for conversation with Sandra Block, author of the new book The Girl without a Name, Beverly Allen, author of Bloom and Doom, and Alice Loweecey author of Second to Nun.

Sandra Block, a practicing neurologist in Buffalo, has written a new mystery, The Girl Without a Name,  featuring the character Zoe Goldman. Readers first met Zoe in Block’s debut novel Little Black Lies, which received the following praise in the New York Times Sunday Book Review: “She picks an invisible bug off her face.” On that intriguing note Sandra Block begins her offbeat first novel, Little Black Lies , a psychological suspense story smartly narrated by Dr. Zoe Goldman, a young psychiatrist doing her residency at a Buffalo hospital.”

Barbara Early, writing under the pen name, Beverly Allen,  is a Buffalo native who writes the Bridal Bouquet Shop Mysteries. According to Barbara, her books  “cook up a healthy dose of comedy and sometimes a splash of romance.”

Alice Loweecey is a former nun who transitioned from the convent to the theater, where she played a prostitute on stage!  Her mysteries feature an ex-nun Private Investigator  involved in an on-again/off-again romance with her boss.
